Kybella® is a minimally invasive procedures that has made it possible to reduce wrinkles on every part of the face, lift the brows, plump the cheeks, and more. We are proud to have the innovative Kybella® treatment in our office!
This injectable is unlike BOTOX® or fillers. It is designed to help men and women achieve a more sculpted jawline and chin by strategically dissolving submental fat – the double chin.
What is Kybella®?
This cosmetic solution contains deoxycholic acid, which is produced naturally in the body. Injections of Kybella® to the area beneath the chin will systematically destroy fat cells while also prompting the skin to tighten. Clinical trials and multiple studies have shown Kybella® is an effective solution for men and women who want to experience the physical and emotional improvement that occurs from cosmetic enhancement of the jaw line.
How Kybella® works
Kybella® treatments are conducted in our office after a thorough consultation and discussion of what to expect. Injections are given with a fine needle in an appointment that lasts only about twenty minutes. Though multiple injections are performed, only a small amount (about a teaspoon) of deoxycholic acid is placed into submental tissue during each session. Optimal results are achieved in two to six sessions, which we schedule a month apart. Post-treatment, patients may experience slight bruising and swelling that last a few days.
Kybella® is widely used to break down fatty deposits around the jawline and under the skin. Patients who use Kybella® as a treatment enjoy minimal recovery time, reduced fat under the chin, and a tighter jawline.
While the treatment process is similar to BOTOX® and dermal fillers, Kybella® differs in the time it takes to see results. This solution does not add anything to the skin nor does it take away, at least not immediately. The acid we inject works over time to break up fatty deposits. While it may take four to six weeks to see the results you want, the outcome of Kybella® treatment can last for years without the touch-ups that are necessary with other injectable treatments.
